Friday Confessional

I confess . . .
I have the house to myself today!
For a little while at least!
I need it so much!

I confess . . .
I think my plans are to do what I can in Addison's room today.
Pack the bags for the hospital.
And just sit around picturing what it will be like when she is here.

I confess . . .
I totally have the pregnancy brain going on.
I cannot remember anything.
Even if I write it down.

I confess . . .
My patience are running low these days.
Especially with the "same ol' same ol'" bs.
'Ya know what I mean?

I confess . . .
I don't think Tommy realizes how soon Addison will be here.
Nor how much we still have to do.
What am I gonna do with him?

I confess . . .
I really do wish some people would grow up.
They have so much drama in their lives because they want the attention.
Really people, its NOT worth it!

I confess . . .
I slept too long this morning.
I got up and let the dogs out,
then I went back to sleep! Oops.

I confess . . .
I really need to finish my school work.
But its only 5 little things and it can wait.
Right????

What do you want to confess today?

Happy Friday!

Ramblings

Yesterday was such a long day. Tommy and I were not planning to spend all day away from the house so we could relax a little and I could do some school work. Of course, that did not go as planned. My aunt was supposed to meet us for the final payment on Tommy's car around lunch time. Each time we called her she told us just a few minutes and she was leaving. We get to finally meet up with her until after 6! :(

We did get the new car! :) Tommy seems to really like it. Next on the list is come TLC for my car. Oil change, tune up, etc. Not to mention some serious cleaning!

We didn't get to take the second pack-n-play back yesterday to exchange it for something else, I forgot to put it in the car before we left and Tommy never went back to get it. Maybe I can do it this weekend or something.

My doctors appointment went so fast yesterday! Much better than the past few times I've been. We watched a video on the Group B Strep test and the Epidural (which I am getting, they should just go ahead and order it lol). Then she came in and we listened to her heartbeat and measured my tummy. She also felt to see if Addison was head down, which she is. But because she still has room to flip they will be checking next time too.

Today we are supposed to go see the kids in foster care but I honestly don't know if I am up for the task. Its a long drive there. Not to mention the dogs were in their cages all day yesterday from where we never made it home until late and I don't want to do it to them again. For some reason my grandmother did not let them out at all. I don't know why, she usually does. ???

I did get most of my school work done this morning so I don't really have to worry about that. I only have a few things left to do and I can do it all tomorrow or Saturday if I have to. :)

Happy Thursday!

Thirty Three Weeks Today :)

Today I am Thirty Three Weeks! I have a doctor's appointment in like 4 1/2 hours (my first Wednesday appt). Cannot wait to hear her heart beat!

Everything you read about week 33 is courtesy of What To Expect.

Week 33 of Pregnancy
Your baby's immune system gets a boost, while her sleepless mommy could use a boost of energy.

Your Baby in Week 33 of Pregnancy

Your baby is still gaining weight (about half a pound a week), and she could grow up to another full inch this week. With that much baby inside your uterus, your amniotic-fluid level has maxed out, which explains why some of her pokes and kicks feel pretty sharp these days. (There's less fluid to cushion the blows.) Antibodies are being passed from you to your little one as she continues to develop her own fetal immune system, which will come in handy once she's outside the womb and fending off all sorts of germs.

Your Body in Week 33 of Pregnancy

With midnight bathroom runs, leg cramps, heartburn, and your basketball-sized belly, it's no wonder sleep is elusive.Third-trimester insomnia strikes about three-quarters of pregnant women (who may also be coping with a mind that races all night long thinking about your to-do-before-the-baby-comes list). But your body needs rest, so do your best to get comfy — before bed and when you get in it. Grab a pile of pillows, wedge them where you need to, and look on the bright side: Pregnancy insomnia is great training for those sleepless nights to come! {Insomnia is the only reason this is getting done before 6 a.m.}

Week 33 Pregnancy Symptoms

Stronger fetal activity: You can test for fetal movement twice a day — in the morning and evening. Check the clock and start counting every wiggle, roll, kick, or flutter until you reach ten. If by the end of the hour you haven’t felt at least ten, have a snack or some juice, lie down, and resume counting. (Your baby just may have needed an energy-boost, too!)

Occasional headaches: Third-trimester fatigue can sometimes trigger headaches now, so make sure you’re getting plenty of rest. But try not to make up for loss of sleep by napping too much during the weekends — oversleeping can lead to headaches, too.

Varicose veins: Sure they’re ugly (and sometimes painful), but if you’re worried that your varicose veins can be harmful too, you can relax. The good news? If you didn't have them before you got pregnant, they’ll disappear soon after you give birth.

Lower abdominal achiness: If your belly is aching when you change positions or get up suddenly, you could be suffering from round ligament pain (or growing pains). As long as it’s occasional and you don’t have fever, chills, or bleeding along with it, there’s nothing to worry about. Getting off your feet (and getting comfy) helps.

Nail changes: Pregnancy hormones can make nails grow faster but can also cause them to become brittle. If your nails are brittle, try getting lots of biotin in your diet (stock up on bananas, avocados, nuts, and whole grains) and try gelatin capsules, which are safe in pregnancy.

Protruding navel: Your belly button may have popped by. Is there anything you can do about it? Not really — but it will pop back in a few months after you deliver.

Shortness of breath: That burgeoning belly is pushing anything out of its way — including your lungs, which can’t fully expand. It’s more uncomfortable for you than it is for your baby, who is getting the oxygen she needs from the placenta. What helps? Standing as straight as you can so that your lungs have a little more room.

Increasing clumsiness: A bigger belly means a shift in your center of gravity and that can spell clumsiness. What to do about it? Slow down and take it easy — rushing will only make you clumsier.

Forgetfulness: That foggy brain could be caused by your baby’s gender. Strange but true: Women pregnant with girls tend to be more forgetful than those moms-to-be who are carrying boys. {That explains a lot!}

Braxton Hicks contractions: These practice contractions are most often felt by moms who’ve already gone through a pregnancy. How do you know they’re not the real thing? Even at their most intense, changing your position (from sitting to lying down, from lying down to walking around) will usually make them disappear.

I love my dog but at about 5 this morning he almost spent the rest of it outside, cold. {He HATES the cold, about as much as Tommy . . . payback would have been so nice} He decided at 4 he just had to get up. He doesn't normally get up until at least 7! I am not sleeping well {I wonder why . . . not} so I look forward to the little bit I do get. I am guessing Rocky had other plans. What really sucks? He is now fast asleep in his cage again- apparently he really needed to go to the bathroom and it couldn't wait. Grrr.
I have started laundry before 6. Wow, that is CRAZY! Things do tend to get done when I cant sleep, so at least the house is getting cleaned! It could be worse. I'd rather clean while no one else is around to mess it up again. That way when they do make their appearances I can just quietly go into another room and sulk knowing I am going to have to do it all over again. Really, its not that bad. The worse one is my grandmother, and I don't really feel like getting into that conversation right now. {I'm kinda mad at her}
I wonder what time I should start breakfast?
After the doctor's appointment today Tommy and I have a bit of running around to do. My favorite of the things we have to do is shopping! :) I am hoping to finish Addison's room soon. {There is much more to do than you would think} Then we are going to look at a car the guys at the car lot brought down just for him {it was at another location}. I hope he likes it, or finds one he does like. We may not be able to afford it without a little budget cutting here or there but Addison is coming soon and one car just wont do it.
I am going to try to catch an hour long nap. Wish me luck!

Happy Wednesday!

P.S. - I got my email containing my swap partner's info! I am so excited! :) Cannot wait to make a new bloggy friend!

Mamarazzi's Autumn Swap!

I am participating in my first swap with Mamarazzi from Our Dandelion Wishes.

If you like Autumn (or heck just gifts) hurry and sign up! Space is limited!

Its going to be great! :)

Happy Shopping!
I have a lot of running around to do today. Not really but that is what I am trying to convince myself. I do not want to sit in this house all day! I do have some things I need to do and I am sure while I am out I can find something else to do as well. My only thing is I don't have a car anymore now that Tommy is back at home and going to work and not in training. We are looking at getting another car soon but until then I don't have a car of my own. My grandma is here with her car but I'd rather borrow her car than her go with me and I am not so sure she'll be up for that. Then again she might . . . she has been spending a lot of time on the computer looking at dating websites and such. (Personally I don't know why, she has yet to choose a good man- her late husband has put her into debt past her eyeballs, the one before that was not nice and the one before that was an alcoholic, at least that is what I've been told.) Getting out of the house my be possible after all.
I do have to admit that I am going to miss having the house to myself for a few days, but having the company will be nice. It will help out wonders when Addison gets here. :)
Today is Halloween! We didn't do anything we normally do for this holiday because I'm pregnant. We normally go to Nether World. If you have never been, and you like haunted houses, I suggest going. Its AWESOME! Its open past Halloween too, not sure how long.
We did go out and get candy. Maybe we will get trick-or-treaters tonight. We have never gotten any before. :( Here's to hoping!
Happy Halloween! (and Happy Monday!)

So Little Time

I have a ton of things to do in a small amount of time. Honesty, I probably shouldn't be on here right now but I am because I neglected to blog for the past two days.
Tommy finally got put on shift so now he only works 3 days on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off. Its a pretty cool schedule. Its not the one he wanted but I am happy. :)
Addison's nursery is coming along nicely. I still have quite a bit to do so I don't wanna post pics of a half-done nursery, that would give away the surprise! Lol.
School work is so boring. Especially when you have to write a paper on a health article. That is what I am supposed to be doing. Hehe. I'll do it before its due. Tonight at 11:59.
I am supposed to be fixing lunch too. Gosh I am slacking today. :/
Well, guess I'll get to it now that I have tattled on myself. :)

Happy Sunday!
