Friday Confessional

I confess . . .
I didn't have the best of time on my trip.
I enjoyed watching my little sister and brother.
They had fun and that is what I was really worried about.

I confess . . .
I am glad that I have the house to myself today.
I can clean or relax. Whichever I choose.
And there is no one here to annoy me.

I confess . . .
I had some pretty weird, vivid dreams last night.
I even woke myself up talking.
I wonder if I do that when Tommy is here?

I confess . . .
I am so ready to get Addison's nursery done.
It is kinda hard because there are some things that don't belong in there and I can't move them.
Tommy has promised he will help me this weekend. Lord, help him if he doesn't!

I confess . . .
I am extremely happy that the direct deposit is now in effect.
Having to wait three days (or more at times) for the paycheck was really annoying!
But NO MORE! :)

I confess . . .
My dog is spoiled.
I don't know what I am going to do with him.
Because sometimes its pretty bad.

I confess . . .
I let him get away with somethings when its just us.
He has been my baby for a year now.
What do you expect?

I confess . . .
I suspect Tommy does too.
He just isn't as apt to admit to it.
Typical.

Some of you were wondering about the Loaded Potato Soup I made. Here is the recipe, please keep in mind there are NO certain amounts: it all depends on you and your taste.

You will need:
A 5lb bag of potatoes, peeled and cubed
Milk (almost a gallon)
Cheese wiz
Shredded cheese (your favorite kind is fine)
Green onions/Spring onions, chopped
Real bacon pieces (you can fry your own and make them or buy them from the store)
Sour cream (I used about 12oz or so but again its up to you)
Salt and pepper to taste
*You can also use bell peppers and other things you like on a loaded baked potato*

Boil your potatoes until that are as soft at you like them.
Drain the water.
Pour milk in with the potatoes until they are covered.
Add your other ingredients.
Be sure to stir frequently, it will stick to the bottom!
Cook until the cheese is melted then serve.

All I ask is that if you decide to pass on the recipe you give credit where credit is due! If you make your own tweaks, please share! I would love to try it!

Happy Friday! :)

Thirty Weeks Today :)

Today I am Thirty Weeks! Here is what is going on this week:

At 30 weeks, your belly’s doing more than just making it tough to find a comfortable sleeping position. It’s made itself a conversation piece. Everywhere you go, someone seems to have a comment about your physical appearance, which isn't always so fun. And no doubt, you’ve encountered quite a few people who don’t think before they speak and say something embarrassing or hurtful (what’s up with that?) Try not to take those comments seriously, but know which ones should be taken to heart. Like when they tell you you’re glowing, believe them! And take advantage of some of the perks (when someone offers you their seat on the train -- take it!) At week 30, your dreams might be getting even weirder -- if you’re actually sleeping, that is. That could be a result of anxiety, so consider doing some prep work to help you rest easier. One idea? Do a test drive to see exactly how long it really takes you to get to the hospital. Then maybe you’ll stop having nightmares about giving birth in your car.

Your baby's the size of a squash!
Your 15.2- to 16.7-inch, 2.5- to 3.8-pound baby continues to grow.

Your baby at 30 weeks
Her skin is getting smoother.
But her brain is getting wrinklier -- to make way for all that essential brain tissue.
She's now strong enough to grasp a finger!

What you might be feeling at 30 weeks:
Heartburn, which might be making sleep hard to come by.
Swelling -- it's totally normal, as long as it's not sudden or severe.
General discomfort, thanks to your big belly.
Shortness of breath. Those lungs just keep getting more crowded, right?
Trouble sleeping, which leads to another issue: Fatigue.
Weird, vivid dreams. One word (a familiar one): Hormones.

Taking a day trip to Tennessee! Hope to have lots of fun!

Happy Wednesday! :)

My Happy List

Link up and be Happy, too!

This is Tommy's last full week of training! I cannot wait for him to be home all the time again. Happy!

Finally started my own Facebook page for my jewelry! Happy!
( I think the name is too cute, The Bauble Boutique )

You'd make me really Happy if you'd go check it out! :)
Just please keep in mind the page isn't completely done, I'm still working on it :)

Addison is very active this morning! Even though I am used to it, it still makes me Happy!

I feel like I got plenty of sleep last night (enough to function correctly) so for that I am Happy!

I made homemade loaded potato soup the other night for the first time and it turned out pretty good! Now I don't have to beg my mom to make it so I can come over! (Not that I mind visiting my mom but I know they don't like potatoes like I do.) Happy!

Rocky used the bathroom in the house once yesterday, he really is coming along! Happy!

Tommy seems to have found a really good friend down at training! That makes him being gone much easier somehow! Happy!

I am going to come back today and organize Addison's room as much as possible! Happy!

Hope everyone has a Happy Tuesday!

Typical Sunday

Not really a whole lot to do today. I had to drop Tommy off for his last full week of training. :) (Next week is only four days!) Now I'm home and bored. I have a few things I need to get done but today is one of 'those days' where I just don't feel like doing it. (When do we ever really feel like doing chores? Lol.) I've got my week planned out (sort-a) so maybe it wont be so bad. :) Start school next Monday (10-17) and I am excited! I think I am gonna try to start my own party and even planning business. Should be lots of fun! :)

Happy Sunday!
