My Happy List

So I am pretty happy today.

Tommy is home for the weekend after being gone all week! So I am getting some much needed love and affection! Happy!

My kitchen is so cute! My grandma and I went shopping the other day and got new rugs, place mats, napkins and a valance for the fall! I mopped and waxed the floors today so it looks so good! Happy! ( I will be putting some pics on here once I finish cleaning it!)

My new insurance is in effect today! So I get to finally change my name at my doctor's office! Happy!

Today is one of those really nice days to spend outside with pants and a light long sleeve! I love days like today! Fall is my favorite! Happy!

The house smells great! I lit FIVE candles that smell like Pumpkin Spice! :) (Maybe I went a little overboard but I love the way they smell!) Happy!

Addison seems to know that her daddy is home this weekend she is moving a little more than normal! :) Happy!

I cannot wait for the leaves to change colors!! :) Happy (in anticipation)! :)

Have a Happy Saturday!

Another One of "Those Days"

So, not that you are all that interested in our finances but Tommy's check was supposed to be in the bank today (direct deposit) and it isn't! That means we wont get it until Monday or Tuesday (sent via snail mail)! We needed that for some things this weekend! :( I am not a happy camper at the moment! However, I will continue to harass the bank website up until I have no choice to accept it is NOT going through today.

Onto other subjects of a happier note! I have decided to only take two classes this semester instead of four. Why, you may ask? For two reasons: 1) being that if little Miss Addison comes early that is less stress on me about finals, 2) the internet we have is not designed for loading videos the way I would with one of my classes. The classes I have chosen to keep are really simple classes (for myself anyway), health and Spanish.

I have come up with a birth plan and started getting things ready to go to the hospital. Yes, I know its early but with Tommy gone all day every day Sunday through Friday for the next (now) three weeks I have to have something to keep myself occupied! There is only so much cleaning I can do in this tiny house. I do have a little project I can do today as long as it doesn't take too long! :)

I think I am going to slowly let Rocky back into the house. It will drive my grandmother crazy but he is NOT an outside dog and I am NOT gonna pretend otherwise. It is not fair that he has to be kept on a chain from the time we wake up in the morning to the time we go to bed. He is not a bad dog and he doesn't shed too much and I need to work with him on getting used to the idea of a baby in the family. I can't do that if he is outside constantly (which he will NOT be once it starts getting colder). I don't really like the fact that Kitty has to stay outside but she is much better equipped for the job (lots of fur to keep her warm) and she sheds like CRAZY! Tommy jokes that she could survive an Arctic Blizzard. Not really but she will be fine here in GA!

My new insurance is supposed to go into effect tomorrow! I am not really sure if I am excited or not. I really need to talk to the insurance company and find out what is covered and what isn't. (On my insurance now I am completely covered but baby is not) I can't talk to them yet because until it goes into effect we are not in the system so I have to wait. It seems like I am doing a bunch of waiting and not much else. How annoying!

Well hunger calls me to the kitchen! Hope you have a Happy Friday! :)

Twenty Eight Weeks :)

I was Twenty Eight weeks yesterday! Here is what is going on this week:

Welcome to the third trimester! Moms-to-be who are at 28 weeks and beyond are known for their lack of sleep. Remember if you find yourself up in the middle of the night, do something relaxing. This is not the time to vacuum the house from top to bottom -- even though you might feel the urge to do that at some point. Read a book, drink chamomile tea, listen to soothing music. Then try to get back to bed and get some rest! Being in the third trimester also means much of your and baby’s anatomy are ready to go -- she's prepping for breathing, and your breasts already have colostrum, which is what baby will eat the first few days until your milk comes in. You’ll also start feeling more Braxton Hicks contractions as your body gets ready for labor. Baby will keep getting bigger -- and smarter -- after week 28, and other than that, she just needs a few more finishing touches.

Your baby's the size of an eggplant!
Putting on layers of fat, your baby now weighs in around 1.5 to 2.5 pounds and measures about 13.6 to 14.8 inches.

Your baby at 28 weeks
She's starting to develop more fat, so her wrinkly skin will start to get smoother.
Her lungs are mature enough that she'd probably survive if she was born now. Wow!

The baby shower was last Saturday! I had a lot of fun. We didn't have as many people show up as we thought but we got more than we expected! We now have almost everything we need! And we still have the baby shower in Tennessee to go!
Tommy is gone all week (for the next four!) for work! :( I am really sad that he will miss so many doctor's appointments and things. He calls every day to check on us though! :)
I am hoping to get the room completely done by the end of the month! In all actuality it needs to be done before we leave for Tennessee!
We finally have internet at the house!!! :) That will make blogging and school work MUCH easier! I am so ready to get back into the blogging world!

Have a Happy Thursday! :)

Twenty Seven Weeks :)

I was Twenty Seven weeks on the 21 of September. Here is what went on that week:

At 27 weeks, baby is breathing (it’s amniotic fluid, not air, but it still counts) and even showing brain activity. You’ve got a lot on your brain, too, from wondering what labor and delivery is going to be like to trying to find the best pediatrician for baby. The annoying symptoms you’ve been having probably aren’t going away, but at least you’ve probably found some ways to deal with them -- and hey, maybe you’re used to them right now. As you say goodbye to the second trimester, you can look forward to some pretty embarrassing stuff (like having to pee all the time -- and maybe even when you don’t mean to at all) that’s all par for the late-pregnancy course. It’s time to head down the home stretch. Are you ready?

Your baby's the size of an eggplant!
At 13.6 to 14.8 inches and 1.5 to 2.5 pounds, she's not just getting bigger, she's getting smarter.

Your baby at 27 weeks

She's practicing inhaling and exhaling with her rapidly developing lungs.
It's official: Baby's showing brain activity! And her brain will keep on getting more complex.

I had a doctor's appointment the day before (Sept 20). We did the ultrasound to confirm the due date, take measurements  and make sure she is developing the way she should. Well, we had a scare. The Ultrasound tech thought that Addison's stomach was two bubbles not just one. So she had the doctor look at it and they sent me to a specialist that Friday. Everything turned out to be fine! What a relief! Addison is a little over 2.5 lbs, her heart rate is where it is supposed to be and she is developing nicely!  :)
